IMPORTANT
Due to the server changeover, the improvement of communication and the expansion of the use of the SRH app with the H-Software, it is only necessary to register the SRH app on the server again if a plug-in version lower than 2.5.0 is currently being used! When updating from version 2.5.0 to version 2.6.0 or newer, there is no need to renew Registration of the SRH app take place! The registration and access data remain valid.
PlugIn version <2.5.0:
the existing plug-in must be deinstalled and the plug-in 2.6.0 installed
a new registration must be carried out
PlugIn Version = 2.5.0
is the server address in the plug-in monitoring.gdts.one stored, the SRH app will not be re-registered
if another server address is entered in the plug-in, this must be in monitoring.gdts.one can be changed and a new registration of the SRH app takes place

1 Function overview
With the NWPM extension it is possible to access the heat pump manager of a Dimplex heat pump via a PC with a browser. the NWPM extension contains a user-specific surface with which the status, the operating data, the history and the inputs and outputs of the heat pump can be queried. Among other things, it is possible to change the increase or decrease times, shift the heating curve, set the hot water temperature or even the hot water block. It is also possible to send an e-mail in the event of a fault and to save defined values in a logger file over several days.
A test version for access to the heat pump manager is available at http://wpm.dimplex.de to disposal.
2 System requirement
The minimum system requirement for using the NWPM extension is a Dimplex heat pump with heat pump manager WPM 2004, WPM 2006, WPM 2007, WPM Econ and WPM EconPlus series with software version H_H50 and higher.
Furthermore, a PC with network connection, a router and an S / FTP cable of category 5e or higher is required to connect the NWPM extension necessary. A browser such as Mozilla Firefox must be installed on the PC to display the user-specific interface.
3 installation
ATTENTION
Before opening the device, all circuits must be disconnected from the power supply. All electrical connection work may only be carried out by a qualified electrician or a specialist for specified activities in compliance with the installation and operating instructions.
The installation of the NWPM extension takes place on the heat pump manager in the designated slot “Serial Card / BMS Card”. The following steps are carried out:
De-energize the heat pump manager
Remove the cover of the “Serial Card / BMS Card” slot with a small screwdriver
Installation of the NWPM extension
Close the opening with the enclosed cover
Supply the heat pump manager with voltage
NOTE
For easy installation the NWPM extension Insert it at a slight angle, then hold it upright and press down. Then ensure that it is firmly seated!
3.1 Connection to the router
After successful installation of the NWPM extension this is connected to the router using a network cable. Then the heat pump manager and the router must be supplied with voltage. DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) must be activated in the router. the NWPM extension In the delivery state it does not have a fixed IP address and waits for an IP address to be assigned by the router.
A connection between the PC and the router must also be established. Depending on the hardware components, this can be done with a network cable or via WLAN.
3.2 Heat pump manager settings
Depending on the software version of the heat pump manager, the following settings must be checked and, if necessary, adjusted:
Software version | menu | Submenu | Setting value |
---|---|---|---|
from WPM_H | Modem -> with the key combination «menu"+"Enter" Select | protocol | Local |
baud rate | 19200 | ||
address | 001 | ||
from WPM_L | Network -> with the key «menu" Select | protocol | LAN |
3.2.1 Determine the IP address
Access to the user interface of the NWPM extension takes place via the dynamically assigned IP address of the router. This IP address can be found in the router's user interface using the respective MAC address of the NWPM extension can be read out. To do this, the administration of the router must be accessed.
If access to the administration of the router is not possible, it is possible to read out the dynamic IP address with an IP scanner. The following section explains how to determine the IP address using the IP scanner "Netscan" described.
From the heat pump manager software version L12 and firmware version A1.5.0 of the NWPM extension (delivery status from May 2013), the IP address assigned by the router can be read in the menu. This menu is accessed by pressing the key combination at the same time (approx. 5 seconds) «ESC» and «Enter». By pressing the «buttonmenu»You get back to the standard display.
Use the arrow keys to select "OTHER INFORMATION" and use «Enter» confirm
Select "PCOWEB / NET CONFIG" with the arrow keys and press «Enter» confirm
Select "PCOWEB settings" with the arrow keys and press «Enter» confirm
If the NWPM extension is connected to a router where the DHCP function is active, the assigned IP address is displayed
If the NWPM extension is not connected to a router, a fixed IP address can be assigned
The selection of DHCP must be set from ON to OFF and the desired IP address set
The netmask and gateway
or DNS1 and DNS2 can be read or assigned
If changes have been made, they must finally be confirmed with YES and a restart carried out
3.2.2 Hostname
After successfully assigning a dynamic IP address to the router and supporting this function, there is the option of access via a host name. This is made up of the term "pcowebXXXXXX" and the last 6 digits of the MAC address.
Example: http: // pcoweb10601f /
3.2.3 Netscan
First of all, the current version "Netscan" for the existing operating system must be searched for on the Internet and saved on the hard drive. If necessary, the folder content is then extracted and the "netscan.exe" file is executed.
IP address range selection of the network via the "IP" icon
Mark the address range of the network
Scanning the IP addresses "Start Scanning" and reading out the IP address based on the MAC address
3.3 Access over the Internet
In order to have access to the heat pump from outside the network, appropriate settings are required in the router or in the network. This means that a “bottleneck” has to be opened in the network in order to allow access via the Internet.
Possibilities for this would be:
Access via SRH App and an iOS device
VPN:
For example, the FritzBox offers a so-called MyFritz service to create a VPN tunnel.
3.4 Access with the SRH app
Another option for access via the Internet is the one that has been available since the beginning of 2016 SRH App. Neither a DynDNS service nor a fixed IP address or VPN access is required for this. All you have to do is install what is described below Plug-in as well as the SRH App absolutely necessary (System requirements are to be observed).
3.4.1 Installation and registration video
An installation and registration video of the SRH App made available: Dimplex Wärmepumpe NWPM - Plugin updaten + mit der SRH App verbinden | Dimplex
